Look at that hair!

  Emily Grace turned 6 weeks yesterday. She has many talents for someone her age. She can hold her head up ( most of the time ), make spit bubbles, explode diapers, sleep with her eyes open ( scared me silly the first time she did it) smile, giggle and one of my favorites sticking her tongue out at people.  Doug, Emily and I went out to Ihop the other morning for breakfast before I took him to work.  When we were standing in line waiting to pay, and there was this older gentleman with a beard standing behind us. He starts making faces at Emily and talking to her. She does her usual thing and sticks her tongue out at him then keeps looking around.  He says " Your suposse to like old men with beards like me, we look like Santa" I tell him " Oh, she really isn't smiling at everything yet, she mostly sticks her tongue out at people"  He gets this "I'm so sorry for you look" on his face and says " Well, I'm sure she'll come around soon" My mommy defenese come out and I'm thinking "She's 6 weeks old! I think if she sticks her tongue out back at you when you do it is pretty impressive!"  So I go " Oh, I think she's doing ok. She's only 5 weeks old. " Then he gets this shocked look on his face and goes " 5 weeks?! I thought she was 3 months! Look at all that hair! Lol, thats the first thing everyone says when they see her.  Funny huh? Losing hair makes you look older when your an adult but having when your a baby makes you look older.
