Call from home

  Emily Grace has been busy. Lots has been going on.  So here's the highlights. 
  •  On the 11th we went and bought Emily a new coat. Emily is so tall that she's 7 months old and growing out of size 9 months clothing. Well baby clothes jump from size 9 months to 12 months.  The 12 month fit just about right, but since this girl is growing like a weed we went the next size up. 18 months. She looks like a little girl who eaten by a pink marshmallow. It was cold out and we were heading to a park next so we put her in it without washing it instead of wrapping her up in blankets.  While we were at the park her face starting breaking out in hives. We got her home and called Doug's mom. She told us to try a baking soda bath. Within a few minutes the hives started to go away.  So Emily has sensitive skin.  A good thing to know. 
  • I went to go get my hair cut on Saturday ( it's to my chin now ) and when I was getting ready to come home I noticed I missed a call from home. So I called Doug back asking what he needed and to let him know I was on my way home. He told me he didn't call me, but Emily had been playing with the phone and had probably hit the redial button. Emily's getting so smart!
  • Emily Grace is starting to try pulling up on things. So her mattress got lowered down to the lowest level.  She's also bumped her head several times this week trying it. I'm glad we took the hard coffee table out of the living room last week and replaced it with two padded foot stools. Much softer for bumping little foreheads on.

How old is he? He just turned 27

Who is taller? He's 4 inches taller then me

Who can sing best? Nethier of us are that great. We can both carry a tune

Who is smarter? Lol. Doug about most things. I know more about bras then he does though!

Who does laundry? I'll wash it but he has to drag me to get me to fold it

Who pays the bills? Doug, but I do when he's on duty and their due

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Doug does. I use to until we moved the bed onto the other side of the room. Well, actually scratch that. I end up on Doug's side of the bed so we both do. 

Who mows the lawn? We don't have a lawn. There's a perk for being in a apartment. 

Who cooks dinner? We both do. One of us will start and the other will come in and help. Doug is amazing at breakfast. 

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? I don't know. We're both pretty quick to admit when we're wrong. 

Who kissed whom first? Doug kissed me first

You know your a mom when...

   when your feeding your baby, she just fell asleep and you sneeze. Not a little sneeze but a big snot going down your face sneeze. And instead of being grossed out because the tissues are over on the mantel and your 5 feet away, your worried that your giant sneeze woke the baby up.  Luckily Emily Grace slept through it. I'll admit though as soon as I set her down in the crib, I ran for that box of tissues. 

Missing Daddy

   I call my daddy Papa. No idea why, that's just what we've called him.  I've never really considered myself a daddy's girl but now that I'm married I'm realising how much of a daddy's girl I am about some things.  Like chocolate chip, peanut butter and banana sandwiches.  No one else in my family eats them, just Papa and me. I made myself one last night and had a problem. It only takes about half a banana.  So one banana makes two sandwiches. One for me, one for Papa.  Since I'm married and not living at home anymore that means I have half a banana left. I miss my Papa because he's not here to have the other half.  Poor banana

  It's been a couple days since I last posted. So here's a bunch of pictures of Emily Grace. 

  We really need to remember to turn the other lamp on.  But you can see her hair is starting to flip up around her ears where it's getting curly. 


      We found out Emily fits in little round footstools.
