Primary Songs

 I sing Primary songs to Emily Grace. I grew up singing those songs and still used them when I got older.  I was just singing to Emily and even though I've heard these songs so many times a line struck me. In the second verse of "I Love To See The Temple" 

    " As a child of God I've learned this truth, a family is forever" 

I started crying a little when I sang that line to Emily. Recently a family close to mine lost a loved one. His mother who I've known for years lost a son. His sister who I've just started to become good friends with lost a brother. His wife of just over a year lost her husband. And his infant son lost a father. But I'm lying when I say that.. They didn't lose him. I know family's are forever. He still is their son, brother, husband, father.  I can't imagine the pain their going through right now. I hope that through the pain they can find comfort in knowing they still have him. That he isn't lost. And that they'll see him again. 

  A couple months after I lost my Grandma my mom told me one of the hardest parts was not being able to have a face to face conversation. But on the plus side she didn't have to pick up the phone to talk to her. 

  My heart goes out to this family and to the other family's of this tragedy. My prayers are with them and I hope they can find the comfort to help get them through this.
